There are some pretty slick new tees at Greenloop. My favorite is maybe the Tree of Life tee above, but all of them are pretty cute. Casual, but still pretty enough to over-rule total casual. Andira’s tees are all 100% certified organic cotton and handmade in Peru. Tees are dyed with eco friendly inks and dyes at family owned Fair Trade factories where workers are paid 25% above average wages.


Best of all, for every tee sold a child living in endangered rain forest land receives a tree to plant including teachings about how they can protect their forests. A neat deal on some well-priced organic tees.

I know this isn’t the perfect place for me to wax poetic about reusable water bottles. Especially since a water bottle isn’t truly a fashion or beauty product; no matter how darn green it is. Still, I can’t help but share these water bottles because they’re too luscious to believe. PLUS, I did at least find a cute little outfit for said luscious bottles, that sort of falls into fashion accessory territory.

And if you really think about it, there is NOTHING attractive or fashionable about toss away, boring old plastic water bottles. Don’t you agree?

First about the bottles…

EarthLust Bottles are very appropriately named. These are hands down the most attractive reusable water bottles I’ve ever seen. Very earth lusty! No offense to my plain, but trustworthy Klean Kanteen Water Bottle, but I just adore the EarthLust line.

EarthLust bottles are made from high quality #304 food grade stainless steel, which actually needs no lining, because it’s safe as-is.  Each bottle is a beautiful custom design.  Also, most of the EarthLust line is limited edition so you get to haul around a far more unique bottle choice with this brand. Lastly, only non-toxic paints and BPA-free safe polypropelene #5 caps are used. Bottles come in 13 ounce, 20 ounce and 1 liter sizes. Earlier this month, I found the coolest Kismet Vintage Sari Water Bottle Tote Bag; hence this post about water bottles. I’m thinking that the Sari Totes shown above are the perfect thing for the water bottle with nothing to wear. Each tote is roomy to fit most water bottle styles and handmade with one-of-a-kind, recycled, vintage, and hand-loomed materials, by KISMET, a Fair Trade company. I like the idea of a tote, because on walks, your water bottle gets kind of sweaty with water droplets, and this keeps you and your clothing from getting wet. Also, I never see these, so they’re a great unique accessory – a good conversation starter.

What do you think of all this lovely gear?

We’ve been snowed in for days now. It’s too chilly to go outside for a walk even. My son and I made it about 8 blocks yesterday, then turned around and headed home. Sadly, my favorite earflap hat has recently died too. Not good timing. I’ve been looking for a cool organic earflap hat without much luck, (some luck) but I did find many Fair Trade winter goodies.

I found these Alpaca Earflap Hats And Caps (see above) which are nice, but not exactly in colors I totally adore. They’re still pretty cute though and Fair Trade. They’re made from environmentally responsible 100% alpaca wool.


I found the three hats above at REI (not organic) but Fair Trade and made with sustainable materials.

I like the first one best, although, the gray is cool because it’s nice and simple, yet won’t show grime like the white one.

I really like the sage Autonomie Project Organic Cotton Hand Knit Hat above. It’s cute and looks really soft, but I’m not sure about the earflap coverage. It seems slim.

Lastly, I like the berry bramble hat and wood and water hat from cosy knits. Not exactly earflap hats, but way cute, completely one-of-a-kind, and made from recycled sweaters. Adorable! Many more styles to see too.
