I’ve got two totally random brown items today. I happen to be a huge brown fan. It’s dark, so it can be dressy, but it’s not black. Brown has a little more character, and personally I think it matches my skin tone better than black (but that might just be me). In any case, I love this Sacred Valley Wrap Sweater in espresso above. Made with pretty merino wool and alpaca. Falls to low hip, which is perfect and has that great pop of orange – way too cute. Hand Knit in Peru and Fair Trade. From Indigenous Designs.I was looking for another cute sweater, but instead came across these great Beyond Skin Brown Hazel T-Strap Pumps.

These are a new release at Greenloop and extra adorable. They should be for the price; but seriously if you’re going to buy special shoes, these are a great eco-choice.

I ADORE Mary Janes. I loved them when I was a kid. I loved them when I was hanging at the clubs as a teen. I love them still. I’ve owned flat and high heeled Mary Janes, cloth, shiny, and velvety Mary Janes, and all sorts of colors. They just never get old, and depending on what you’ve got on, they change face. Mary Janes can look sweet, professional, or even sexy. I love the versatility.

Being that it’s almost Valentine’s Day, what else can I do but share some amazing red Mary Janes?! I tried to find some varied prices too, so in case you’re low on cash, it’s all good. We have to start with these El Naturalista Duna Shoes – Tibet you see above. I LOVE them; super classic look. El Naturalista is an eco-friendly shoe company, but not totally vegan, so depending on your eco-ethics these may or may not be the shoes for you. I do like them. Made with a pull-grain leather upper that is treated with natural oils and polish. There’s a Microfibra lining that’s antibacterial. The removable insoles made with recycled carbon and outsoles are made of 100% natural rubber. I like two El Naturalista red Mary Jane style actually; one more is coming up below.

These are the El Naturalista Iggdrasil Shoes – Tibet which I fell hard for after seeing their delightful swirl. Very sweet. Stream leather upper is tanned from vegetable extracts, tree bark & river stones, in an all-natural process. The insole is made from recycled cork and the base is recycled rubber, scented with tea tree oil.

Hello shiny! Check out these vegan Cri de Coeur Estelle shoes – patent mock croc pumps in port wine. Just gorgeous.

These Herb – Terra Plan flats are a bit of a Mary Jane cheat seeing as how the strap is ankle based, but I’m including them because they’re so great and so almost a basic buckle shoe. They’re like tiny doll shoes. Very sleek, very dainty, very red and cute. Made with vegetable tanned leather by a company who utilizes locally sourced and recycled materials when possible.
