I first reviewed these all natural facial grains back in June at another blog of mine, Tree Hugging Family. BUT I LOVE them still, and think that one, they’re the perfect facial grains for any nature girl looking for a scrubby clean face, and two, I think they’d make a perfect holiday gift for a friend. Thus, we’ll take a little peak at these killer grains here at Green Beauty & Style Slices….

Product: Facial Cleansing Grains – Almonds & Honey

Cost: $8.35 for one 4 oz jar – net wt 2.5 oz (trust me, a total bargain)

To recap what I thought back in June:

• These grains work amazingly well, your skin will feel super smooth and soft after just one use.
• They smell incredible – nutty, earthy, but not overpowering. The scent is just right and slightly lingers on your skin.
• They work fast. You don’t have to walk around with a mask on your face. There’s no work involved. All you do is pour a dab of grains into your hand, add a little water, scrub your face, and rinse.

All of that – still true. However, now I know something new, these grains last and last! I got a jar to review in June, and I kid you not, I still have some. Talk about a deal. Works great and saves you $. You cannot go wrong here.

Ingredients: Kaolin clay, ground oats, corn meal, ground almonds, ground rose petals, ground lavender, honey powder.

Use: From the Manor Hall Soap website; “Suitable for all skin types, these grains will make light work of dry and dead skin, while nourishing and improving surface circulation. Featuring the gentle emollience of ground almond meal, these facial grains moisturize readily as they are worked into the skin, loosening and lifting the dead cells from the surface. Together with oatmeal, ground botanicals and honey powder, these all natural grains bring a healthy glow, leaving skin soft and baby smooth.”

The one negative of this product is the fact that they’re not organic – but they’re natural, good for your skin, and work so well that it’s a moot point. The packaging is both attractive and recyclable. Plus you have face flavor options. Besides the Almonds & Honey, you can also choose from Lemon & Rosemary or Lavender & Rose.

A perfect five out of five pretty trees plus one extra. That’s the same score I gave them back in June, so as you can see I still adore them. Also, as I also previously noted, this is a type of skincare product that I’d normally make myself. They earned an extra tree because I’d actually purchase these.
