Currently, when it comes to eco-friendly jewelry, you have many choices. When shopping you can look for categories that are Fair Trade, pieces made with eco materials, and work done by ethical companies. Glass jewelry is a nice way to go – you can find some great recycled pieces, plus it’s recyclable (not that you’d want to toss a pretty ring, but…). Yup, it’s time to start dropping hints about Valentine’s Day jewelry.  I think that this piece is sweet enough to take the place of chocolate.

The Rosehip Necklace is lovely and unique, designed by Molly McGrath, who designs jewelery from salvaged materials. The charm is bamboo wood contrasted with dark brown cut out rose hips. The backing is made from second hand suede jackets. I love the tiny chain for this necklace too; 16″ oxidized sterling silver bead chain. You don’t see beaded chains too often, not with wooden charms; it’s a great look.
